Across Five Counties
We are based in Lexington and work throughout the Shenandoah Valley and the Alleghany Highlands. That covers Rockbridge County and the independent cities of Lexington and Buena Vista, Botetourt County to the south, Alleghany County and the city of Covington to the west, Bath County to the northwest, and southern Augusta County to the north.
Each town below has its own page. If your community is not listed, contact us — the boundary is not a hard line and we may well cover you.
The region is not one climate. Elevation, tree cover and exposure change significantly between the valley floor and the mountain communities, and those differences change what a roof has to withstand.
Higher ground in Bath and western Rockbridge counties holds snow longer, which raises both snow load and the risk of ice building at the eaves. Properties against the Blue Ridge take more channelled wind, which puts the load on ridge, hip and fastening detail. Heavily wooded areas keep north-facing slopes damp and fill valleys with debris. A specification that suits one of those settings is not automatically right for another.
